Find Your Zen in SF

Whether you’re traveling, working, or on-the-go, it’s important to make time for yourself. Find your inner zen. Power down and relax. Here are some ways to take it easy in San Francisco.

Outdoor beach yoga & meditation

Check in with yourself at an outdoor yoga class or meditation session. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Outdoor Beach Yoga SF features sessions on Baker Beach and Ocean Beach. Sessions leave you feeling connected to yourself and relaxed in nature. Bring a towel and feel the cool sand during a daytime warm up. Additional info at Outdoor Yoga SF.

Visit the Japanese Tea Garden

Step out of the city and into this relaxing tea garden in Golden Gate Park. Scenic walkways, pruned-plants, gentle koi ponds, a five-story pagoda and benches offer a quiet reprieve from the surrounding bustle. Admission is free Monday, Wednesday and Friday before 10 am. There’s also a small café on site if you’re in the mood for matcha or lighter fare. See map.

Take a walk through the redwoods

There’s nothing more peaceful than a walk through the woods. Luckily, one of the most beautiful groves with the oldest trees in the country are located less than an hour from San Francisco. See our day trip guide to the redwoods and plan your outing to Muir Woods ahead of time.

Enjoy herbal fusions at a tea bar or at Stanford Court

Plus, Chinatown is a quick walk from Stanford Court so you know you’re in good hands. Stay in and have a tea, or check out our favorite local tea bars to see which best matches your mood – from botanical blends to bubble tea served to the tune of hip-hop music.

Sleep in comfort with JamBox
