And we all need to do our part. Sustainability @ SC is StanfordCourt's commitment to conducting our business in a socially-responsible and environmentally friendly manner. Every guest and team member at Stanford Court plays a critical role in minimizing our ecological footprint. The below initiatives are practiced daily so that we contribute towards preserving and protecting our community for future generations to thrive.

Waste
optimization
We prioritize sustainability by offering recycling bins, reusable water bottles, and eco-friendly cleaning products in all rooms. Additionally, we partner with Recology for responsible disposal and sorting of waste, while participating in community cleanup events to promote environmental stewardship.
Energy
Efficiency
Our sustainable hotel employs energy-efficient LED bulbs and motion-sense lighting in public areas, reducing energy consumption. We also utilize the Energy STAR Portfolio Manager to track and manage our energy usage efficiently, fostering continuous improvement in sustainability efforts.
Food & Beverage
At Stanford Court, we prioritize sustainability by sourcing thoughtfully and partnering with producers who share our commitment to responsible practices. Sixty percent of our food is sourced locally within 50 miles of San Francisco, and we exclusively use compostable and reusable dinnerware and to‑go products to minimize environmental impact.
Water Conservation
With water-saving faucets and showerheads everywhere, complimentary Flo Water refilling stations, and our rooftop garden preventing runoff and pollution, we're doing our part. Join our linen and towel reuse program-it's an easy way to save water and pitch in.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions
We proudly offer EV chargers on-site, empowering guests to conveniently recharge their electric vehicles while staying with us. By facilitating access to clean energy transportation, we reduce carbon emissions and contribute to a more sustainable future.
