The San Francisco Marathon is a world-class endurance event that showcases the city’s stunning natural beauty and urban charm. Known for its challenging hills and breathtaking views, the course serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier and attracts over 25,000 runners from around the globe.
Race Options for Every Runner:
- Full Marathon (26.2 miles): The ultimate tour, including a loop over the Golden Gate Bridge, a run through Golden Gate Park, and a finish under the Bay Bridge.
- 1st Half Marathon (The Bridge Half): Covers the first half of the course, featuring the sunrise run across the Golden Gate Bridge.
- 2nd Half Marathon (The City Half): Starts in Golden Gate Park and winds through the Haight-Ashbury and Mission districts before finishing at the Embarcadero.
- Ultramarathon (52.4 miles): The "Worth the Hurt" challenge. Runners complete the marathon course in reverse overnight before joining the official race on Sunday morning.
