San Francisco Fleet Week is the premier celebration of sea services in the United States. Taking over the city's northern waterfront, the event offers the public a rare chance to engage with military personnel and witness the incredible technology of the American armed forces.
Festival Highlights:
- The Air Show: Experience the thundering roar of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the United Airlines 777 as they perform breathtaking maneuvers over the San Francisco Bay. - Ship Tours: Step aboard active-duty Navy and Coast Guard vessels docked along The Embarcadero. Learn about life at sea directly from the sailors and explore the inner workings of these massive ships.
- The Parade of Ships: Witness the grand entrance of the fleet as they pass under the Golden Gate Bridge, escorted by San Francisco Fire Department tugs shooting spectacular water plumes.
- Humanitarian Assistance Village: Located at the Marina Green, this interactive exhibit showcases the military's role in disaster relief and civil support.
- Neighborhood Concerts: Catch the United States Navy Band and the Marine Corps 1st Marine Division Band performing free pop-up concerts in Union Square, Pier 39, and various neighborhood parks.
