The SCH Guide 2 Unplugging

Travel Tips

For as connected as SF always is, it’s also can be just as unplugged. That’s because although San Francisco is THE techie city in the United States, it’s also filled with numerous outdoor areas and natural wonders. That said, even if you are coming to SF for work, also take some time to unplug. Your mind, body, and soul will thank you 4 it. This is the SCH Guide 2 Unplugging.

Visit Huntington Park

You don’t have to venture far from SCH to get in touch with SF’s beauty. There are plenty of places in the neighborhood, aka Nob Hill, where you can #unplug in the heart of the city. Take Huntington Park, for example. It’s a block away from SCH and one of the most beautiful parks in the city. Here you have green spaces, sculptures, views of Grace Cathedral, and plenty of benches. Come here 2 relax and take a break.

Go #OffTheGrid like a local

So, those of us that live in San Francisco tend to be nature junkies. We can’t help it. SF and the surrounding area is out-of- this-world gorgeous. And you don’t even have to travel far to get #OutThere. In SF, you can be transported to spectacular cliffs, green hills and crashing waves, all less than an hour from SCH. If you’re interested, consult our guide to the best #OffTheGrid spots near SF. Or if you exercise like us, check our SF running guide for some seriously scenic routes in the City by the Bay. After all life is #BetterOutside.

Sleep for Dayz

Unplugging doesn’t have to be all nature. Literally unplug and let go at SCH. We might be the most well-connected hotel in all of SF, but that doesn’t mean we don’t value turning our phones on DND, closing the curtains, and curling up in the luxe beds Stanford Court Hotel. It’s about work-life balance, and we’re committed to helping you achieve that during your stay with us. Workout in our 24-hour fitness center, and come back to your room and sleep like a baby.

Ride the Cable Car

One of our favorite things about Stanford Court Hotel is that’s located right on the iconic San Francisco cable car line. Take the scenic route and go be a tourist for a day through historic SF. The cable car runs along California Street through the Financial District. Catch it at either Powell or Mason Streets.

BTW - it’s the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, and we’re running some great specials at Stanford Court Hotel, from April 8 - August 20.
