Get Your Steps In | Stanford Court

As a guest of the Stanford Court Hotel, you are in for a treat when it comes to exploring the surrounding area on foot. One of our favorite flat and easy walks is just two blocks from the hotel.

From the hotel, take a left up California and then cross California at Mason St. This is your starting point at the corner of California and Mason where you’ll take a left and you’ll start the circuit around the famous Huntington Park. Take a right on Taylor and then a right on Sacramento. You will see the beautiful homes and buildings that make up this historic neighborhood. (Huntington Hotel, Grace Cathedral, Pacific Union Club) Finally, take a right on Mason to complete a lap.

The circuit is roughly 500 steps and .25 miles, so four circuits is roughly a mile. This is a great way to get some exercise and see some of the local sights. The best part – the entire circuit is perfectly flat with no hills to traverse. This walking path is a wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon to get a feel for the neighborhood and get your steps in.

Lombard Street: This famous street is known for its steep and winding road. Take a stroll down Lombard St. and enjoy the beautiful views of the city.

Fisherman's Wharf: This bustling neighborhood is located on the San Francisco Bay and is home to seafood restaurants, souvenir shops, and street performers.

Golden Gate Park: This vast park is home to a variety of attractions, including the Japanese Tea Garden, the California Academy of Sciences, and the de Young Museum.
