The Concerts We're Looking 4ward 2 This Summer in SF

Travel Tips

Summer is the best time of year for concerts, esp. in such a music city like San Francisco. With numerous music venues and hundreds of shows per month, in SF you can find just about anything - from rock ‘n’ roll legends to indie unknowns, jazz, blues, hip hop and rap. That said, here are the summer concerts we’re most looking 4ward 2 at some of our favorite venues like The Fillmore and The Masonic. #LocalTip: The Masonic (click for map) is just two blocks from Stanford Court Hotel, aka a 6-min walk. Who has the best seat in the house now?

Duran Duran @ The Masonic, July 8, 2017, 8 p.m

80s new wave legends Duran Duran grace The Masonic this summer with a much-anticipated performance. Expect the hits and favorites from their later years.

The Revolution @ The Fillmore, July 11 & 12, 2017, 8 p.m.

Prince’s long-time back-up band is continuing their reunion tour, as an honor to the late artist. That said, The Revolution will  be playing two dates at The Fillmore this summer.

Joshua Radin & Rachael Yamagata: The Coffee House Live Tour @ The Fillmore, July 19, 2017, 7:15 p.m.

Household names of the indie scene, Joshua Radin and Rachael Yamagata join forces this summer doing what they do best - performing their melodic ditties and powerful love ballads at The Fillmore.

Natalie Merchant @ The Masonic, July 20, 2017, 8 p.m.

One of the most captivating voices to come out of the 80s - and remain a relevant force in the music world through the modern day, Natalie Merchant returns to The Masonic for a performance spanning her entire career.

The Psychedelic Furs with Robyn Hitchcock @ The Fillmore, July 25, 2017, 8 p.m.

Post-punk rockers The Psychedelic Furs are in town for one night at the Fillmore. Expect to hear the classics, like “Pretty in Pink,” “Love My Way,” and “Heaven.”

Van Jones “We Rise Tour” @ The Masonic, July 28, 2017

While not a concert, per say, this speaking tour hosted by Van Jones is all about making a change, promoting healthy dialogue and giving a voice to the voiceless.

The Meters @ The Fillmore, August 25 & 26, 2017, 9 p.m.

The Founding Fathers of Funk have reunited for a rare appearance at The Fillmore. Don’t miss a chance to see some of the most influential musicians in American music history.

BTW - it’s the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, and we’re running some great specials at Stanford Court Hotel, from April 8 - August 20.
