Rainy Day Activities in Nob Hill

Travel Tips

Rainy days in Nob Hill still allow for plenty of fun. Don’t be discouraged by a little rain- you can still enjoy San Francisco. Our rooms and spacious lobby, with multiple places to work, watch tv, grab a drink at the bar, or surf the internet on our super fast wi-fi allow you to be comfortable while it’s raining. If you decide to venture out of the hotel be sure to borrow one of our Stanford Court umbrellas from the front desk.

Here are some great rainy day Nob Hill activities:

Grace Cathedral Labyrinths: Just one block west of the hotel you can visit Grace Cathedral and walk the two labyrinths. Read more about the labyrinths here.

Exploratorium: You can honestly spend from when they open at 10:00am to when they close at 5:00pm. It is interesting for all ages and if the rain clears for a bit you can walk along the Embarcadero. View Exploratorium hours and website here.

San Francisco Centre: Head to the San Francisco Centre Westfield Mall on Market Street to enjoy the shopping, beautiful dome and delicious food at the food court. The mall is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am-8:30pm and Sundays from 11:00am-7:00pm. View the directory of stores here.

Argonaut Book Shop: Argonaut Bookshop is one of the few remaining truly antiquarian bookshops in the San Francisco Bay Area. Head to 786 Sutter between Jones and Taylor Street to search through the books for collectibles.
