Alto Vino + A Cable Car Ride

Five blocks north of Stanford Court on Mason is Alto Vino. This neighborhood Italian eatery is one of the best rated Italian restaurants in San Francisco and we can't recommend it enough. Everything is amazing but two of our favorites are the papperdelle and the braised pork shank (be sure to add shaved truffles). After dinner, walk a block to Powell and hop on a cable car for a twilight ride back to Stanford Court.

 

Nob Hill Cafe & Huntington Park

Two blocks north-west of the hotel is Nob Hill Cafe. This relaxed Nob Hill institution makes some of the best pizzas in town and we suggest you order one to-go and sit in Huntington Park and have a little picnic on the grass or on a bench.
