February Happenings in SF
It’s February and there’s no shortage of things to do in San Francisco. Here are some upcoming events to mark on your calendar, from SF Beer Week to the Chinese New Year.
Hundreds of “beer-centric” events are planned for SF Beer Week, set for Feb. 9-18. Events include guided beer and food pairing tastings, flavor courses, brewing courses, and of course delicious California brews from Monterey to the North Bay. Much of the proceeds will go to help firefighters who have had a busy workload over the last year. More info here. At SCH, we’re offering a SF Beer Week package that includes overnight accommodations, a 4-pack of beer in-room for pre-gaming, and $25 food and beverage credit. Check out the offer here.
SF Chinatown is the largest of its kind, and Feb. 16 marks the day of the Chinese New Year. The famed parade will take place Saturday, Feb. 24 from 6-8 p.m. Lion dancers, firecrackers, and giant dragon puppets will march through Chinatown to celebrate the new lunar year (Parade route here). Also, here at Stanford Court we offer a special for those visiting for the Chinese New Year! Check out the special offer here.
The 2017-2018 season is underway and our NBA champions are hosting plenty of home games this February. See Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant in the flesh at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. From Stanford Court, you can walk down Powell Street to the Powell Street BART Station and take the blue or green metro line across the bay to the Coliseum. Ticket info here.
Since 1993, the Noise Pop Festival has booked and promoted emerging indie artists in venues across San Francisco. This year the event runs Feb. 19-25, and guests can purchase a badge to access all events or buy tickets to individual shows and films. For lineup, ticketing info and more, check out the Noise Pop Festival page. If you’re interested in other upcoming shows and concerts in SF, check out our recent blog post.
A festival for fans celebrating all things orange will be held at AT&T Park in San Francisco on Feb. 10. Giants fans can meet stars, get autographs and check out one of the most beautiful ballparks in the US for free. More info here.
